Double Giveaway!!

Black Pillowcase Pet Bed

I am super excited today to be uniting two of my very favorite websites – Sew Mama Sew and Blog Paws – via this very special giveaway of two of my pet products!   The giveaway is hosted twice a year by Sew Mama Sew, and the Wordless Wednesday is hosted each week by Blog Paws.  Please be sure to follow the links in the sidebar to see both of these wonderful sites.  There are so many wonderful giveaways on the Sew Mama Sew site this week, both for sewing/crafting supplies, and for handmade products.  And with Christmas just around the corner the timing for this huge giveaway could not be better!

Winners for this Sew Mama Sew giveaway have been notified.  There were so many great entries and I very much enjoyed reading each and every one.  As there were so many entries I decided to give away a second dog toy.  Winners for each prize are named under the prize.  Thanks everyone for participating and have a wonderful Christmas!

My first giveaway is this lovely Christmas themed pillowcase pet bed cover.  This pet bed cover fits any standard to standard/queen sized pillow, and makes a very special resting spot for your pet!  It is durable, easy to clean, and folds flat for travel or storage.  Black minky fabric with billiard-style Christmas design on the cuff brings a bit of whimsy to your pet bed for Christmas.  It has a french seamed cuff and large section of Toughtek slip-proof waterproof fabric on the underside to make the pet bed really stay in place.  Just purchase a pillow (or use one of your pillows or other stuffing) to make this bed complete!

Winner of the first giveaway:  Lisa Cox

My second giveaway is your choice of any one of the cute “Mod Stick” dog toys you see in this photo!  Custom made from a variety of fabrics, this irresistible squeaky toy is made from a double layer of canvas covered in quilt cotton, and measures 8″ long by 3.5″ wide.  It’s easily cleaned (as is the pet pillowcase) by just popping into the washer and dryer.  Clean on cold wash and low dry.

Winner of the second giveaway:  Debra Neiman and Tenacious Terrier (giving away two dog toys!)

Entering this giveaway is very simple!  Just leave me a comment below, and let me know your pet’s breed/type and name, and whether or not you have any special things you do with your pet at Christmas (cute outfits, take them to grandma’s house, etc.).  I can’t wait to read all your responses!

This giveaway is open until December 13 at 5 p.m. PST, and is open to all US participants only.  Winner will be randomly selected and announced in this post on Sunday, December 15th, so be sure to check back then.  Also please go and visit the Sew Mama Sew website to see all the other fabulous giveaways!!

  1. Hi, we are a house full of eight cats…no special breeds…seven girls and one boy in a variety of colors and patterns. We love to help decorate, especially Lisbeth. You can see her and Giulietta “helping out” on our WW post today. Please enter us in the giveaway for kitties. Mommy says she can’t wait to be able to get your patterns as she has a closetful of fabric and would like to make some things for us herself! Merry Catmess! Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  2. I have two orange tabbies name Frank and Jesse. Because they came from the same litter, I had to give them brother names. And trust me…they live up to their names. I don’t do anything special for/with the boys for Xmas but they are definitely spoiled all throughout the year.

You have some really great patterns that I’m going to have to explore further.

  3. I have a 3 year old mini yorkie named Missy, a 2 year old golder retriever that we adopted a few months ago named Cooper, and a North American short haired kitten named Boots. They keep us in stitches with their crazy antics. We will take our Yorkie with us to grandmas house for christmas but Cooper is still learning house manners and wont be able to go this year. Boots stays at home to nap and nap and nap some more.

  4. I have two small dogs. The older one is Jazz and she is chihuahua and the younger one is Abby she is a mix of chihuahua and pomeranian. Abby loves toys and loves to play, like all the time! Jazz is 11 so she likes to sleep under the blankets mostly but still plays when she is in the mood. It is hard for her to like new toys though. I like to put Jazz in a cute outfit during Christmas. She has red longjohns with a fake but flap which is adorable on her. I eventually release her from it so she can run around out at Granny’s house.

  5. I have two kitties. Trixie is black and brown with white paws. Reggie is a yellow tiger kitty. They always get a new can of treats for Christmas and always get to sample the turkey. There is also a sweet black cat that our neighborhood has adopted; I call her Inka. She will get a turkey dinner too. =^..^=

  6. We have 3 cats and a rabbit. Anne Shirley is a long hair torti. Sarah Jane is a rescued ‘alley cat’. River is a Red Point Siamese someone had thrown out in the road. Baby Cat is the rabbit…she looked just like Sarah Jane when she was a kitten…thus the name. At Christmas we give them giant boxes of ribbons…their favorite toys!

  7. We (near Baltimore, MD)have a whippet/blacklab rescue dog named Dunlop. He gets a two new bones on Christmas Day. One to gnaw on outside filled with peanut butter and one for inside filled with a pepperoni to gnaw on next to the fireplace. Don’t get me wrong, this pooch gets treats throughout the year too!!! Thank you for participating in the sew mama giveaway and remembering our fur babies 🙂

  8. Virgil is a black lab/ pit bull mix rescue dog. He loves visiting my grandma’s home and is super mild-mannered, even among all the children, noise and decorations! We don’t know all he went through, but he’s been a blessing in our family.

  9. I have 2 black cats. Sister and brother named Sugar and Spice. They would love a cuddly bed. They do have a stocking that they get treats in at Christmas time. Thanks for the chance to win!!

  10. Hi! Nice to meet you! We hopped over from the BlogHop! We’re 3 cats…one orange, one black, one torbie. We don’t usually do anything special for Christmas. We don’t like wearing clothes. But we like to play with the ornaments on the tree!

That pillowcase cover looks great! We think it would make an excellent bed for us.

  11. Wow! My cats would love the pet bed. Their names are Thor, Daemon, and George. Thor and Daemon are both Maine Coon mixes, and George is just a domestic shorthair.
My dogs would love the little squeaky bone. There are the 2 mini dachshunds, Fancy and Gohan, and the Anatolian Shepherd puppy, MacLeod.
I don’t usually give them people food but at Christmas they get the gizzards and other innards from the cooked turkey. It doesn’t equal a lot between them, but it is a little special treat.

  12. I would love to win this for my parents german sheppard, she is really well trained and my father takes her everywhere, they would LOVE this gift. Thanks you.

  13. Maggie – my little chihuahua mix loves to wear sweaters be comfy in a blanket on the couch. Rita – my big big mutt loves to carry her toy around the house until it’s falling apart. My black kitty, Edward, loves to snuggle in bed with me or sunbathe in my window.

  14. We have a flamepoint named Firetail. She’s white with an orange tail. Our dog died last year at the good old age of 16. She was a bordercollie cross and the smartest thing you ever did meet. I got her on a roadtrip when I was 22 and losing her hit hard.

  15. Izzy is a flamepoint Siamese
Mr Smuckers is my late sister’s cat, and he is Himalyan
    Boomer is a Jackapoo

We get them treats for Christmas. THey have a giant box of toys 🙂

  16. As of right now I have a dog, Izzy, some fish and two lizards. My dog is some sort of terrier mix and LOVES to chew on everything. She’s too smart for her own good. And no holiday traditions yet, as this is the first Christmas I’ve had with her. Thanks for the giveaway!

  17. Right now ( our older dog just passed away 😦 We have one little sweetie – a doxie named Loki. She is from our local rescue and is a fabulous pet! Goes with us everywhere and gets more gifts usually from my family than I get! lol She will be traveling w/ us to my sisters at Christmas to visit with their dog and my brothers dog who is coming with them from NY! We love our pets! thank you for the lovely giveaway!!

  18. My sweet little baby, Playful, a 10 month old tiger cat goes with me to Grandma’s house for every big event. Grandma’s is 1 hour away, and Playful is so good in the car. She watches movies on her DS + she eats lots of tweats!!

  19. I have a chihuahua named Yoda. For the entire winter I put him in sweaters to stay warm, but for christmas he has a Santa suit. He hates it, but nothing is funnier than seeing a tiny dog in a padded santa suit. The hat has an attached beard!

  20. I have an older Miniature Pincher ROCKY and a 3 year old Miniature Schnauzer KYE. They are really fur babies in this house of two retired people. They HAVE to go the the post office with use every day. When we leave them home alone they are howling before we get out of the driveway. Merry Christmas from Oklahoma, USA. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com

  21. Two Labrador Retriever (rescues) here – Sage and Ella. A long hike and opening their own gifts is our fun for the holidays. They would LOVE to open one of your dog toys!! Thank you.

  22. I’ve got a black lab named Penny. We don’t have any christmas traditions with her, but did take her for a Santa photo one year, with the worst Santa ever 🙂 the pic is priceless

  23. We have a cat who acts like a dog. He started pawing at the door whenever he wants to go out and pooh, plays running games with my husband, snores but is overall a sweet yellow striped cat named Squeaks. He doesn’t meow, he “Squeaks”!! =) He will sleep on anything soft, which your pillow is the perfect idea! Merry Christmas!
